ANGERMUND

ANGER

MUND

It all started with some tapes and a microphone, from recording everything from anything he could find in his childhood household, to banging together whatever available in parking lots down town in the city of Bergen. This shaped Angermund’s musical flavour, and years later the quirky sounds created by ordinary items still play an important role in his music.

Angermund’s eclectic taste in music has formed him as a musician and producer. Growing up listening to the local commercial radio stations (of his mothers’ selection), banging and dancing to whatever that was on, Angermund went through many good (and some useless) phases of music inspiration. While the pop stole his youngest years, his late youth and early twenties was filled with a lot of unpolished 4-tracked recorded bootleg-tapes. Traveling through phases with influences from techno to alternative rock, hip hop to Captain Beefheart, afrobeat to minimal house, ambient to even more pop songs, Angermund knew that he did not know how to take care of all his inspirations. But among all his wondering and stuttering thoughts, there was a red line. The red line through all these years, was the fascination for synthesizers and electronic productions. Combining all the fuzz and lo-fi-satisfaction with the sound of the electronic style and instruments, Angermund sat course to produce his legacy from now on and until the end (or until he get fed up with beats and stuff).

In time he has been known as an artist that seeks to create eclectic and organic techno, preferably building his soundscapes using old analog synths and recording audio from the wildlife surrounding his hometown, as well any everyday sounds from everyday life.
